It's a news-and-product deep dive: they're announcing a €1.9M pre-seed round, sharing two decades of e-commerce battle scars (Magento, CouchCommerce, NewStore, commercetools), and giving an early peek at the "squad of agents" they think replaces the old monolithic backend. Welcome to our Retailgentic exclusive first look at ShopAgentic, where we cover a lot of ground with both co-founders. First we go over their big funding news, then rewind through two decades of e-commerce history that brought Alex and Kai to this moment, and why they think the ground is shifting under the entire industry and why we’re ready for a new platform, built from the ground up to be Agentic both from a structural standpoint, but also understanding that there will now be human customers…and agent customers.
